In special session of the Electoral Council, we approved the routes to locate the places that meet the legal requirements for the location of polling stations and 22 Electoral Supervisors, for district 09 of Tuxtla Gutiérrez.
It should be noted that during the selection of candidates for Electoral Supervisors, 49 candidates who appear on the register of members or militants of political parties were identified, of which 35 belonged to national political parties and 14 to local political parties. In addition, 11 candidates were identified who served as Political Party Representatives before the polling stations in the election of 2021.
None of them proved their resignation from membership or militancy and only 14 of them stated that they were unaware of the affiliation, of which only 3 candidates filed a complaint for alleged improper affiliation to a political party. Due to the above, these candidates did not pass the necessary requirements to serve as Electoral Supervisors, in compliance with the guiding principles of the National Electoral Institute of certainty, legality, independence, impartiality, objectivity and maximum publicity. 🇲🇽 🗳️ #democracy #elections #mexico #chiapas #ine
